Jennifer Hudson on the cover of Vogue
Soul singer and Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson will become the first black singer to grace the cover of Vogue magazine when its March issue hits stores.
The first black woman to make the cover of Vogue was Beverly Johnson in August 1974.
Naomi Campbell September 1989 was the lowest selling vogue cover ever. However, she would go on to grace the cover a number of times.
Oprah shed the pounds for this cover in October 1998.
The last black woman on the cover of Vogue International was Halle in December 2002.
There was actually a black singer on the cover of Vogue before Hudson but she was part of a group.
Guess who...
...
Our very own Mel B (scary spice) in January 1998.

Just out of curiosity, where did you find out that the September 1989 was their poorest selling issue?
